It’s great to be updating y’all on the going’s on of this Kelowna Drum Academy. We’ve got 3 months in the bag on 2021 and there’s so much incredible stuff to be thankful for!
Brand new Studio/Teaching space. This has been unbelievable. When I was hoping and praying for a space, I said “all I’d like to have is a waiting room, a studio space and a washroom.” Well, I’ve never received something so accurate to what I had asked for in my life!! Its been a wild few months and I can’t wait to share some photos and video of the studio in action.
We’ve had a good chunk of new students join the BTN family and I’m always so grateful when people decide to sign their kids up for lessons. Speaking of that, BTN has almost 60 students now! What a wonderful thing :)
We had our first BTN community hang out of the year and really the first legitimate one since all this Covid nonsense began. The last time we hung out was a zoom party before Christmas of 2020. Over the march break, an awesome group of students and parents joined in for a beautiful hike in the Okanagan, up Layer Cake Mountain. It’s always so good to spend time with students outside of the studio and in real life.
With it being April 1st, it’s CRAZY to believe that June is just 2 months away, and with that will be the end of year performance recitals.
I really hope this can happen this year. All I can say right now is that it will be an outdoor event, the rest will remain a mystery until further notice.
