DRUMLINE SUMMER CAMP 2!

Here we are, on the other side of summer and another killer camp season under the belt.

This past week, BTN hosted its second summer camp and what a doozie it was.

We had a smaller group this time with 6 kids. I have to put this in here that one of the kids was a repeat from the previous camp in July. The story goes that after we had finished up the camp, he told his parents that he wanted to do it all over again! He even had another camp to go to, but cancelled it so he could come back. To add to the goodness, his sister was at the downtown performance in July and she decided afterwords that she also wanted to take part! It was a honour to have them attend and it made me feel so happy to hear that the camp was fun enough to do twice!!

I loved hanging out with these kids! All of them had drumming or musical experience as well which made for a “next level” learning environment and the smaller camp size allowed for so much intentional growth and relationship.

The camp was a total success from day 1 to the performance downtown, especially with Connor Murdock by my side. These camps would not have been the same without him…not even close! His knowledge and experience level was a total gift to the camps and I look forward to building this thing with him more.
