First Things First

If you’re visiting this site for the first time, I want to say a big welcome to you! My name is Zac Gauthier and I am the founder and teacher here at Bring The Noise Drum Academy. This small drum business has been in the works for many, many years but has been successfully running since September of 2015.

The dream with this drum studio was to inspire, captivate and encourage those who come to learn by using music as a means for bigger things. It sounds funny, but I’m not in this business to just teach people drums. As a remarkable man named Fred Rodgers once said “I want to help young people through the difficult modulations of life.” I feel that using the drums to help people through these modulations is simply beautiful. Drumming takes incredible coordination, mindfulness, timing, and most importantly - patience. I’ve come to find that drumming is also very therapeutic and good for the soul. Rhythm is in all of us on one level or another and regardless of how “good” my students become at drumming, I want them to leave the studio knowing they are capable of incredible things and that just maybe, they can apply what they’ve learned in lessons to tackle some of the barriers that so many young people face today.

So, with all of that said, this blog section of the website will be dedicated to the goings on of this little community of drummers and music lovers. I will post as often as I can and will keep this as a sort of community wall, which means that you can also comment and leave thoughts on these blog posts, please keep them honest, kind and encouraging!

I’m very excited for what lies ahead for BTN and I am so thankful for this growing community.

All the best to you,

Zac.
