An evening with Al webster

On Wednesday, Jan 22, the Unleashed Brewery in downtown Kelowna transformed into a drumming paradise! An awesome crew of drummers, parents, students, and friends gathered for a night filled with drum talk, drum jams, laughter, and friendship. The excitement escalated with the special guest appearance of Al Webster from Toronto!
As Al mingled through the crowd, he spread encouragement and wisdom among the Bring the Noise students, sharing insights about touring, performing for big names, and session work. Just about an hour in, the vibe reached a whole new level as a jam session broke out! Daniel Stone, an incredible Brazilian drummer, arrived with a duffle bag full of auxiliary percussion goodies. He generously passed out the instruments, and just like that, the jam commenced!
It was a sight to behold as different drummers took their turns on the main kit, while everyone else joined in with shakers, wood blocks, bells, and even bar stools! Watching the shy drummers come out of their shells and the eager ones unleash their inner performers was truly a joy. To cap off the night, Al took time to answer questions from the whole group, leaving everyone grateful for his support and expertise.
